Last year we visited the Manor House at Springton Manor Farm for our first wedding there and it quickly became one of our favorite locations! Springton Manor Farm is so beautiful this time of year, so when Sibel and James mentioned they wanted to return for their anniversary session I was so excited!
How they Met, The Proposal, & The Wedding
Sibel & James met online and spent their first date getting to know each other. Sibel’s favorite moment from their first date was when James suggested they dance and from the first spin, Sibel knew there was something special. One February evening, James and Sibel were taking a walk on the Williamsburg Pier at sunset, which was the same pier that they took their first selfies together! With the ring hidden in his sock, James bent down to “rub his ankle” and before she knew it, Sibel was saying yes to his perfect sunset proposal! Last September Sibel and James had family gather from around the world to celebrate their joining as one. Sibel had an absolutely stunning gown that made its way all the way from England. From the beautiful flowers, to Sibel’s perfect ring their wedding was definitely one to remember. (See it here!)
Their Springton Manor Farm Anniversary Portraits
Not only did Sibel and James celebrate their first anniversary this past weekend, they are also preparing to welcome their first child! Needless to say it was the perfect time for them to document this time in their lives. We met up at Springton Manor Farm and talked about their favorite moments from their wedding, let alone all of the adventures they’ve been on in the past year! They’ve been all over the world together and now are embarking on the next adventure… parenthood! To Sibel and James, thank you for having me capture, yet another momentous occasion in your lives!
