You might remember Katie & Ryan from their Rose Tree Park engagement last month. And since I JUST told a little of their love story then, I’ll share an abridged version today :) This past Saturday, Katie and Ryan celebrated at The Waterfall in Delaware and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful venue! From the stone details in the courtyard to all of the little waterfall details, it was a beautiful wedding day!
How They Met & The Proposal
Katie and Ryan’s story started a few years ago… in 8th grade to be exact! It didn’t exactly start as a love story either :P Ryan had a habit of correcting the teacher until one day Katie had enough and slammed her fists on the desk and shouted “CAN’T YOU JUST LEAVE IT ALONE?!” and they ended up being best friends ever since. Both their first date, the proposal AND their engagement session took place in Rose Tree Park. Ryan took Katie to the Festival of Lights last Christmas last year and made a scrapbook with mementos from their entire relationship. On the last page of the book he got down on one knee, which leads us to their wedding at The Waterfall!

When Katie arrived to the Waterfall in Claymont, she was a bundle of smiles! All of her bridesmaids were so absolutely sweet and her sister even helped me with some of the detail photos. I’m loving the color schemes my brides are choosing! Katie chose long purple bridesmaid dresses paired with black suits for the men. After an intimate and beautiful outdoor ceremony, (with what really was the last of the fall colors!), these two threw one heck of a party with the most delicious of food! They had SO many dinner options, not to mention and entire spread of desserts!
