When we pulled into the one lane drive leading up to Morningside Inn we were in awe. Fields of corn, rolling hills and even a few fall leaves were left to create a stunning landscape! Instead of the traditional fall colors, Bridget chose yellow bridesmaids dresses, and yellow flowers, which were absolutely stunning! The air was brisk, as the day turned into evening and Bridget’s excitement was palpable.
How They Met & The Proposal
Bridget and Dave have a sort of non-conventional way that they met… :P They actually met at a bar after Bridget responded to a craigslist (yes, craigslist!) ad. Dave hired Bridget for a part-time weekend bartending job where they got to know each other, before they decided that spending time outside of work on the weekends would be better! Dave proposed to Bridget one night while they were relaxing on the couch. The subject of marriage came up and Bridget laughed it off, joking that Dave wasn’t going to propose and if he did, he would drag it on forever! Before she knew it, he slipped off the couch, onto one knee and asked her one very important question…
Their Morningside Inn Wedding
I loved the yellow bridesmaids dressed paired with the last of the fall colors this year! We started in Gettysburg at Gettysburg Day Spa and found some of the coolest spots to showcase Bridget’s beautiful lace gown. Every time I talked to her leading up to their wedding day she felt so confident and excited, and their wedding day was no different! She was so ready to marry the love of her life and couldn’t wait for the short drive to Morningside Inn to do just that! They shared in a beautiful sunset ceremony before dancing the night away!!
