DIY Wedding Invitation Ornament

InvitationOrnament-007_WEBThere are so many suggestions of things you can do or make from leftover wedding supplies. I personally had a ton of extra invitations after our wedding, so I turned to Pinterest for some ideas with what to do with them. I wanted a keepsake, yet I wanted to make sure it wasn’t super cheesy. Thats when I came across the idea of an ornament… so I made one! (and a couple extra for our closest family and friends!)

The invitation ornament is actually super easy to make. I just took part of the invitation and cut it into thin slices of paper that would fit through the neck of the glass ball ornament. Then I twisted each strand into a spiral, so the thick paper wouldn’t crease as harshly. After that I twisted each slice into the ornament, arranging them so the important words were showing. I tied some ribbon on the top and it was complete… our first official ornament as a married couple! :)
