Last week we had the pleasure of meeting up with one of our couples who are getting married this fall! I loved wandering around Old City Philadelphia and photographing the love these two have for each other :)
I originally met Anne in college at Temple University where we had a bunch of mutual friends! I was so excited when she reached out after getting engaged to see if I was available to photograph her wedding! We met up at a coffee shop in King of Prussia, where I met Sean, who is such a sweet guy!
How they Met
Anne and Sean met through an online dating site, where she skipped over Sean’s profile :P She figured that him living 3 hours away was too far to try to start anything serious so it wasn’t until he decided to reach out to her that they actually connected! They got to know each other virtually for a month or two before meeting in person for the first time. They met up for a picnic and Anne made all sorts of goodies (which totally won over Sean!). Not wanting the date to end, they went to a movie together and ended up spending 12 hours together that first day. :)
The Proposal
A little over a year ago Anne and Sean were visiting Philadelphia for a long weekend. Anne had no idea that the proposal was in the works and threw so many curveballs in Sean’s plan. She made some additional plans with friends and had to make a detour to buy some new shoes, which actually brought them closer to where Sean planned to propose! They were walking around Temple University’s campus and ended up in the Founders Garden. Anne’s sister and brother-in-law were in the garden and as Anne started to get suspicious and question what was happening, she turned around to find Sean on one knee!
Their Old City Philadelphia Engagement
Anne and Sean live about 3 hours from Philadelphia now, but since it played such an important part of their love story they wanted to spend some time documenting their love here! We met up just before the holiday weekend started since they were visiting for the weekend. The weather was beautiful and we stopped by some of my favorite spots in Old City for this Philadelphia summer engagement!
