My absolute favorite is when my couples get married and PARTY all at the same location. This wedding was just that at The Lodges at Gettysburg! These last few weddings have been filled with some great high school friends and today is no different!! I know Jordan from multimedia class in high school and he’s taken his love for the multimedia realm and turned it into a career :)
How They Met & The Proposal
While Jordan was attending Penn State University to prepare for his film career he met a girl in one of his film courses. He saw her the first day of class and dismissed her as “out of his league.” It wasn’t until a party that they officially met. This isn’t the normal story that you might expect… When Jordan went to leave, he discovered his car had been towed and just in case he needed help, Mary Kate gave him her number! Their first date resulted from Mary Kate’s short film idea being chosen in class to turn into an actual movie so to help her out, Jordan eagerly volunteered to help her write it. Jordan recommended a movie that had a similar premise to the script they were writing and asked Mary Kate if she would like to watch it with him. As they watched the movie together, Jordan’s dog sat in between them while they both pet her and after “accidentally” bumping Mary Kate’s hand a few times, Jordan decided to hold her hand (she was happy he did!).
Jordan went all out for their proposal! Mary Kate has a huge love for The Office so Jordan worked in a tribute to The Office in his proposal. He got the same green tea pot that was used on the show and filled it with references and things from their dates and fun moments together. Jordan also made a flash drive and filmed himself going to each of the places that had significance in their relationship and at the end of the video, he pulled out a ring and asked her to marry him!!
Their Lodges at Gettysburg Wedding
I’m still reeling at how FUN Jordan and Mary Kate’s wedding was last weekend! From the moment I arrived Jordan was all smiles and Mary Kate was ready to party! It was an absolutely beautiful and sunny day for this wedding at the Lodges at Gettysburg. Even though I may have gotten a little sunburnt during the ceremony, I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful couple to share in a beautiful summer wedding. The Lodges at Gettysburg have a wonderful rustic ballroom filled with wooden beams and gorgeous floors. Jordan and Mary Kate and their families filled the room with love, laughter and PLENTY of dancing! I loved their navy and yellow wedding and the sunflowers were the perfect touch to their summer wedding!
