Jessica and Wes’s Gettysburg Battlefield Engagement was such a fun way to spend my Friday evening. They are two of the most comfortable people to be around that I have ever met. They are easy to talk to and even more fun to laugh with. I mean when you start by introducing yourself as Jess and Wes, you can’t go wrong. I absolutely love that their names rhyme and I’m sure they got sick of me chuckling every time I said “Jess and Wes” (but its just so fun!). I knew before even meeting them that we would get along, and I was not disappointed. More details coming on how this adorable couple met AND fell in love :) For now, I’m ready to ogle over their Gettysburg Battlefield engagement!

how they met

Jessica and Wes met at Seminary in Philadelphia and totally crushed on each other throughout their year there. (Did I mention they know Ben and Kristin?!) However it wasn’t until they reconnected and went to a Phillies game with some friends that things became a little more romantic :) Instead of the outing being a group of friends hanging out it turned into much more of a double date than anyone expected :P

the proposal

Wes proposed just before Christmas of last year. They planned to decorate their tree early in their soon-to-be home together before Jess went to Georgia to celebrate Christmas with her family. However, when it came time to decorate the tree, Wes only wanted to open presents!! He put together a whole box of ornaments with significant dates in their relationship and ended with a Mr. and Mrs. ornament with the ring!! He proposed right there on the floor while they were still in their PJ’s. :))
