The Zielinskis | Weddings On Memory Lane, Hershey, PA

We have had quite the spring/summer wedding season and I knew that this wedding at Weddings on Memory Lane in Hershey, was going to be a highlight of my season! Let’s just say, it didn’t disappoint. Aside from an absolutely beautiful venue, Ally and Jake are two of the sweetest people. Their blush and gold colors were absolutely perfect against the rustic setting at this Hershey, PA venue.

How They Met & The Proposal

Ally and Jake met at college and were both involved in greek life. They got to know each other in a group setting, while hanging out with friends, and ended up on their first date on Valentines Day. Jake made a bouquet of flowers for Ally and of course treated her to frozen yogurt, yum! He proposed while they were on vacation in Florida. They were out searching for shells on the beach and when she wasn’t looking, Jake got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife! Check out their engagement blog to get the full proposal story :)

Their Wedding at Weddings on Memory Lane in Hershey, PA

Although this wedding day was absolutely perfect, we did hit a few snags! It just so happened to DOWNPOUR for an hour just after their first look. When I say downpour, man do I mean it! A few minutes before the first look, we realized it was definitely going to rain, but hoped we had a few minutes to at least get these two together. Ally tapped on Jake’s shoulder and he turned around with a huge smile (I mean, how couldn’t he, she was absolutely STUNNING and her dress was amazing!). We started snapping a few photos of them together, and all of a sudden a dull roar started, the leaves were rustling and we realized it was definitely time to get indoors!

One of my favorite moments from the entire day, wasn’t when Jake saw Ally for the first time (sorry Jake!), but when we did an impromptu daddy-daughter first look. Ally’s dad was one of the sweetest people, and when he saw his daughter for the first time in her dress and ready for her wedding day, he gave her one of the tightest and most precious hugs I’ve ever seen! I’m pretty sure everyone who was in the room teared up.

After the official first look, we ended up being stuck inside for about an hour, but then the rain let up, and we got back on schedule before their ceremony! Miraculously, there was no more rain in the forecast so they had the beautiful outdoor ceremony ON the pond, that they dreamed of.

Their reception was filled with more string lights than I could have dreamed up and the barn was absolutely beautiful. The entire side was open to watch the beautiful sunset, which we celebrated with a little confetti and the soft glow of beautiful light.
