Lauren & Jason’s engagement in Wayne, PA was not only FUN, but full of meaning! We started at their apartment near the center of Wayne where they actually got engaged and then headed to Fenimore Woods Park! (The full proposal story is below!) I met Lauren in college at Temple and was so excited to catch up with her (and Jason!) for their engagement session. The weather was a little toasty, as you can expect in August, but it was a beautiful evening to celebrate the love of these two!
How They Met
Jason and Lauren met at Temple University through a mutual friend. Jason was in marching band and one of his friends introduced him and Lauren! On their first date they went to Olive Garden in Center City Philadelphia. Jason was a true gentleman and bought not only Lauren’s dinner, but her subway tokens too!!
The Proposal
On New Years Eve last year, Lauren and Jason shared a romantic dinner in Wayne. On their way back (in the dark, I might add) Jason wanted to stop at the bridge outside of their apartment where he encouraged Lauren to look for fish! Of course, she thought he was ridiculous but he puller her in for a kiss and said how he wasn’t good at speeches but… Lauren immediately started freaking out because she thought it would be at least another year before he proposed! As soon as she saw the box she blurted out a YES before he could even ask her to marry him. Once she realized he never asked, she made him do it again!!
Their Wayne, PA Engagement
Since they still live in the same apartment with that very bridge that they got engaged on, of course we had to start their session there! I love when locations have special meaning to couples and incorporate it in their engagement session. From there we headed over to Fenimore Woods Park where there is a beautiful pond and a wonderful nature path.
