The Lodges at Gettysburg | Rainy Navy and Pink Wedding

I met Jen and Ben last year at their Linwood Estate Engagement and loved how relaxed they are together. Their wedding at The Lodges at Gettysburg was such a beautiful showcase of the two of them and even though it was a bit rainy, they didn’t let it get them down!

How they met & The Proposal

Jen and Ben met at Juniata College. They noticed each other through a few mutual classes, but didn’t start dating until their senior year. Their friends joked that they were SO happy that she found someone taller than her! Ben popped the question when out on a hike in Cooper’s Rock State Park. Jen’s grandparents had mentioned the beautiful overlook with a wonderful view. When Jen & Ben got to the overlook, Ben asked Jen to look out at the valley so he could take a picture of her and asked her if she was ready twice before she turned around to find him down on one knee with a ring in his hand!

Their Rainy Lodges at Gettysburg Wedding

I arrived the morning of the wedding, to a slight drizzle but a great atmosphere! Jen was getting her finishing touches on her hair and makeup and I felt so welcomed by her friends and family. I absolutely loved her “bling” dish, and she said that one of her friends from work actually made it for her! DIY is my fav!! Ben was quiet, but excited as he started reading his card from his ALMOST wife :) I absolutely loved that after the ceremony we had a break in the rain and were able to get photos of the two of them outside!! We went down to the spot by the lake where they were supposed to get married and took some fun photos as it started raining again. We busted out the umbrella and got even more romantic photos of the two of them. They were such troopers! We went back to the top of the hill for some portraits of their entire wedding party and the rain magically stopped!! The Lodges at Gettysburg has such a beautiful view overlooking the countryside and I loved showing it off :)
