Oh how I love outdoor ceremonies and venues with good views! The Lodges at Gettysburg has the best view and it just feels like it goes on forever! I can’t think of a better way I could have spent the first day of fall this year other than celebrating with these two!
How They Met & The Proposal
Holly and Ben met over 10 years ago at Gettysburg College. They lived in the same freshman dorm, where Holly developed a huge crush. After becoming close friends, their first date was seemingly just another normal night hanging out… except this time they decided that they were definitely more than friends. After moving to Florida, Holly and Ben were visiting the National Zoo Ben knew that this was the trip that would change their lives. Holly is a huge animal lover and when they were at the sea lion exhibit, Ben surprised Holly when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!

Their Lodges at Gettysburg Fall Wedding
Holly and Ben are two of the coolest and most unique people I’ve ever known. Their wedding day toasts were filled with comments about their quirkiness but ultimately, how absolutely PERFECT they are for each other. I arrived the afternoon of the wedding to squeals and hugs from Holly as she was getting her makeup done. She was just SO THRILLED that her wedding day was finally here! I photographed their engagement session over a year ago, so I’ve actually been following along in their love story for quite some time :). The themed their wedding day with nods to astrology, including the cake! Each of their tables had a different constellation as the table “number” and the bridesmaids had lanterns with stars instead of bouquets.
