Last Thursday I had the pleasure of meeting Jamie and Eric in Manayunk for their engagement session! We decided to wander up and down the Schuylkill River Trail, which had some BEAUTIFUL fall foliage! I was so afraid that the leaves would go straight from green to brown this year, but MAN was I wrong!
How they Met & The Proposal
This love story started a few years ago when Jamie and Eric met in high school! These high school sweethearts met when some friends introduced them at a dance! Their first date was a movie night at Erics house, and they have been inseparable since. Fast forward to now, Jamie and Eric are waiting for their house to be built in Manayunk! They went to check on the progress and walked to the top of the dirt mound, which overlooks the water. Eric started telling Jamie how much he loves her and can’t wait to spend the rest of his life with her. As the looked at each other Eric finally said “I’m doing it!” as he sunk down to one knee and asked Jamie to marry him. There may have been some ugly crying, but there was also the best YES!
Their Manayunk Bridge Engagement
Even though it has been raining like crazy lately, I LOVED that it was the perfect fall weather for this engagement session under the Manayunk Bridge. There are so many love stories that start in all sorts of ways, but I have a MAJOR soft spot for high school romances :) It might just have something to do with the fact that I met my husband in high school too :P It was so fun wandering the Schuylkill River Trail getting to know these two. It is so obvious just how excited Jamie and Eric are to marry each other, and I loved getting to document this time for them!!
