Oh friends, this fall wedding at the Rotunda at Lauxmont Farms was so stunning! From a handmade bouquet, a wonderful view, to a beautiful sunset, Emily and Jared’s wedding was absolute perfection! The red and grey colors that these two chose made the perfect fall color scheme.

How They Met & The Proposal

My best friend, Natalie, and her husband were actually the reason Emily and Jared met. Jared was actually friends with Natalie’s husband so after realizing how well they would get along, Natalie and her husband set Emily and Jared up on a date! Their love story started in Annapolis for their first date, which was nothing short of an adventure! They talked and walked and ate and walked and walked some more and ended up spending 8 HOURS together in Annapolis. They talked about their lives like they had always known each other and found that they had a ton of the same interests. After that night, Emily knew she had to continue getting to know Jared!

Their love story continued in Chesapeake Beach, MD where Jared proposed! They had a “fancy date day” and needed to end it with some sweets! While Emily tried to get to the shop before it closed, she noticed that Jared was not only taking forever, but also had his backpack with him. After they acquired some desserts, Jared stopped at a bench and pulled an antique blue velvet photo album out of his backpack. This just so happened to be the same one that Emily was eyeing up in an antique shop months before! He had printed pictures from throughout their relationship, adequately capturing their love story. Emily reached the middle of the book and turned the pages to discover a ring box!

Their Lauxmont Farms Wedding

When I asked Emily what she was looking forward to most on her wedding day, she said that having the most important people in her life by her side was going to be the highlight (other than the whole getting married thing! :P)! I arrived to a gorgeous afternoon at Lauxmont Farms’ Rotunda and a beautiful view!

Emily had already shown me pictures of her dress, but MAN was it even more gorgeous in person! As we were getting Jared dressed and ready he mentioned he had a “gift” for Emily. After opening her gift to him (an awesome wooden watch AND a scrapbook of their time together), he sent me off with his computer to deliver her gift. She watched a video he made for her and tears started to spill over. In just a few minutes she would see him at the other end of the aisle and say YES to forever and always. They filled the Rotunda with love, music and lots of dancing to celebrate the two of them becoming one!
