Earlier this week I ventured into Philadelphia for this beautiful fall engagement! I was worried we wouldn’t find any fall colors, but we did and it was perfect! This was my first session this year around the Philadelphia Art Museum and I loved getting to capture Erin & Michael’s love :)

How They Met

Erin and Michael met while attending law school at Rutgers. Erin was helping to organize a bar crawl in Philadelphia and Michael was a happy attendee! They went of their first date in Philadelphia to La Viola and had a great time getting to know each other over their Italian meals.

The Proposal

While visiting Seattle over the 4th of July, they decided to go to Smith Tower which is the oldest skyscraper in Seattle. On the way up to the top, they took a self-guided tour and learned all about the history of the building and the city. Once they reached the observatory deck, they were greeted by the most beautiful view of Mt. Rainer. With the area to themselves, Michael got down on one knee and asked Erin to marry him!

Their Philadelphia Art Museum Engagement

This week has finally felt like fall and I couldn’t be more thrilled! The leaves are changing (quickly!) and the air has the best chill to it :) Erin and Michael chose the area around the Philadelphia Art Museum for their engagement session. I was so excited that we would have some natural elements to rightfully designate the autumn season! We wandered around while chatting about all things wedding and I loved getting to know these two better! Between all of the Rocky references and hearing about how Erin’s brother had all of them taking up all of the space on the DVR growing up, we knew we had to get a few photos in front of the art museum too.
