Last week I ventured to Chester Springs to discover the most beautiful estate. Not to mention, the weather and sunset was absolutely perfect! As summer is slowly coming to a close and the cooler fall weather is settling in, I am getting so excited.
How they Met
Karyn and Danny met in Delaware over a Memorial Day weekend at a cute little beach bar and instantly clicked. They both happened to be living in Center City at the time so they fittingly shared their first date in Philadelphia over drinks. When it came to their second date, Danny took her deep sea fishing!
The Proposal
As these two dated, they embraced life on the sea. They love to go offshore fishing together whenever the weather is right and watching beautiful sunsets together. It was only fitting that Danny worked each of these things into the proposal! They venture out for an overnight fishing trip on the boat about 70 miles off shore. Unknown to Karyn, Danny snuck a clean change of clothes, music and champagne onto the boat to heighten the surprise. After catching a 60lb yellow fish tuna, Danny snuck off to change and reappeared at sunset to ask her to be his forever! The night didn’t end there- they wanted to get back into the range of cell reception so they could share the good news! Once again unknown to Karyn, Danny had planned for their families to be back on the shore when they returned. Her parents had been in Europe and she thought they were still traveling back, but she was surprised to see them there too! Let’s just say there were many happy tears and EVERYONE except Karyn knew :)
Their Chester Springs Private Estate Engagement
When Karyn and Danny described her parent’s property to me, I knew I would love it! They are getting married there next year so I was thrilled to see it for their engagement session, and it did not disappoint! From the beautiful light shooting across the valley to their long driveway lined with trees, every nook of the property was picturesque. The best part is the pond with a center island that they’ll actually be getting married ON next year! We don’t have any previews of that, because its under construction, but let me tell you – its going to be a stunner! The weather was absolutely perfect for their engagement session and we were even photo-bombed by a hot air balloon! Seriously the perfect evening!
