The holiday season is upon us and I am so thankful for our awesome couples like Katie and Matt who are willing to brave the cold for their engagement!! I mean, who DOESN’T love endless string lights and holiday displays? This holiday Rittenhouse Square engagement definitely had wonderful string lights, an adorable couple and a sparkly ring! :)
How They Met
Katie and Matt met in college, she went to Penn State and he went to Pitt. It was by chance that they met at a friends party while he was visiting! Katie ended up being college friends with Matt’s high school friends, so they were bound to meet :) Ironically, the two of them grew up a total of 10 minutes apart, but their paths didn’t cross until JUST the right time!
The Proposal
Matt and Katie were walking around Rittenhouse Park with their little pup this past September. They love to find great food around the city and take walks with their (adorable!) pup Lexi. One evening when they were walking Lexi, Matt decided that was the night! In a quite corner of Rittenhouse Square, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife :) Of course, they had to celebrate after with pizza!!
Their Rittenhouse Square Engagement
We decided to meet up at Rittenhouse square for their engagement… I mean its only fitting since they got engaged there right?! The trees were lit up, and the air was brisk, and their pup, Lexi stole the show! There’s nothing like a little love, beautiful string lights and a sparkly new ring to get you in the holiday spirit. I loved chatting with Katie and Matt and found out that Katie loves succulents (nearly as much as I do!) and hearing about how awesome their wedding is going to be next September!
