I’m so excited to share this intimate fall wedding at the Lodges at Gettysburg. When Lisa described her dress as “mocha” at their engagement session, she forgot to mention that it was the MOST BEAUTIFUL dress! This purple and grey wedding was so wonderfully beautiful, simple and intimate and I am so thankful to have celebrated the marriage of Lisa & Justin!
How They Met & The Proposal
This love story was one years in the making! After mentioning a mutual friend suggested they meet, these two met on a coffee date. They quickly agreed that it would be fun to get together again and their first official date was spent in Gettysburg where they ate lunch on the square and walked around the battlefield before eating dinner at the Dobbin House! After a crazy tax season (she’s an accountant!), this past April 15th Justin and Lisa planned a weekend get-a-way in Gettysburg and booked a cabin at The Lodges at Gettysburg for a night of relaxation. After a romantic dinner at the Carriage House, they headed back to the Lodges. Justin led Lisa on a nighttime stroll under the stars and asked her to be his wife. After the tears and laughter… she said yes!
Their Fall Lodges at Gettysburg Wedding
I’ve done a few weddings at the Lodges this year, and every wedding is so different! Lisa and Justin had the most stunning flowers from Roostervane Flowers. The flowers that were suspended in water leading up to the tall floral arrangement and cascaded down over the table were stunning! Lisa & Justin included little jars of honey as their favors. Their wedding day may have been quite windy, but their outdoor ceremony was so beautiful! My favorite part of the entire day was when they practiced their first dance in their reception space just before everyone came in. It was such an intimate and beautiful moment!
