Autumn has always had a special place in my heart. When Benjamin and I got engaged and were looking to set the date, I originally picked out November 1 of 2014. I loved how the numbers looked together (even though I try to avoid odd numbers). When I suggested waiting until 2014 (instead of the dreaded 2013), Benjamin gave me a flat out NO.
You see, we got engaged back in 2011, so even the suggestion of waiting not only 2 years, but 3 was out of the question. We knew we had to wait until at least 2013 when we both finished school and at the time, waiting an extra year seemed like nothing. Boy, I would have been so wrong! I am so glad he gave me that “no” because it enabled us to have this past year together as a married couple. This has been such a crazy year with moving to Bloomsburg and settling into a new community as well as settling into a new (and awesome!) marriage.
I’ve come to appreciate one of the great things about Bloomsburg, and that is the way the leaves change color here. There are so many colors everywhere! When I was in Philadelphia, I didn’t get the full effect simply because there aren’t as many trees, and in Gettysburg the colors never seemed to linger. In Bloomsburg area, we’ve had stunning leaves for the past few WEEKS. Benjamin and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get some pictures taken with all of the fall colors. :) The wonderful Elizabeth with Willow Springs Photography took us out in mountains around Bloomsburg and captured some great (and silly!) moments.
