It’s been a crazy few weeks since we shot our last session making sure that all of our couples have their photos and album designs as I head out of the office on maternity leave! Instead of blogging I focused on finishing galleries but that is not reason to just skip blogging this gorgeous fall engagement session at the Lodges at Gettysburg! I had such a blast with not only Allie and Kevin, but their pups and family who came along to be puppy wranglers :)
How They Met
Allie and Kevin met during their senior year of college in a history class. Neither of them needed it to graduate but somehow fate brought them together in that class. As they got to know each other during lectures, they both started showing up earlier and earlier to class so they would have more time to hang out. They dove in to their first date when they went for a ride on Kevin’s motorcycle. Its amazing that Allie agreed because she is so risk adverse. They went to dinner and Allie hasn’t been on the motorcycle since :P
The Proposal
It is only fitting with how much these two love their pups that the dog they had at the time was part of the proposal! They took a walk at the dog park and it was just a few days after their dog’s first birthday. Their pup jumped on Kevin and said yes before Allie could get her yes in!
Their Lodges at Gettysburg Engagement
After having to reschedule on Allie and Kevin for their engagement session because of my pregnancy, we decided to meet up at their wedding venue when I was there for a different wedding! I was hoping and praying that we would end up with some fall colors and WE DID!! I love when couples incorporate their pups in their engagement sessions since they are such a big part of their lives and in this case, Allie & Kevin’s love story :) I love that we had vibrant leaves and how fun it was to get to chat with Allie and Kevin in the place they’ll be getting married next year!
