I was so excited to get back into the city for Chrissy & Tom’s Old City Philadelphia engagement session! With the few days leading up to their session full of rain, we were nervous about the weather. The day of their session last week could not have been more perfect!! The rain passed and we walked around Old City, found a gorgeous door after stopping by Second Bank, and had the most beautiful sunset at the Race Street Pier.

How They Met

Chrissy and Tom met online and after talking on the phone for an entire week, they decided to go on their first date! Tom remembers being so excited that this adorable girl had reached out to him and was so anxious before their first date! They met at Bin 14 in Hoboken, NJ. As Chrissy walked up to the man that would change her life forever, her heart was racing. They settled into the restaurant and proceeded to talk for EIGHT hours!! From that very first night, they knew there was something special, and neither of them let go… :)

The Proposal

This past Memorial Day weekend, Chrissy and Tom went out to dinner with her family. Everyone knew (except Chrissy!) that Tom was planning to propose and he had the ring safely tucked away. Tom wanted to make sure he proposed at a time that she would be able to CELEBRATE the occasion with her family and this was the perfect night! He asked Chrissy to go for a walk with him on the beach, letting her lead the way. She started rambling about how beautiful the stars were and turned around to find Tom on one knee!! She started crying, he asked the question and she said YES!

Their Old City Philadelphia Engagement

After hearing this love story, I was so excited to meet these two for their Old City Philadelphia engagement! I could just tell how much love they have for each other by the way each of them talk about the other :) We made sure to include their dog, Dugan, in a few of their photos, and I loved every bit of it! We wandered to Second Bank in Old City with Dugan and I think he was almost more excited than them for the adventure (even though he wasn’t sure what was actually happening! :P). We ended up at Race Street Pier to finish off this wonderful Philadelphia engagement on the most beautiful evening. I had such a wonderful time walking around Old City, and capturing this love. These are the kinds of people that make my job oh-so-worth it!!
