When first moved to the Philadelphia suburbs a few months ago, I heard about this great restaurant AND wedding venue, Terrain! Terrain is so far up my alley that I couldn’t wait to shoot there, let alone visit their Garden Cafe. I promptly set up a dinner date with a college friend and fell in love with the rustic atmosphere at Terrain in Glen Mills. As we wandered through their shop, I had to convince myself not to buy everything!

Needless to say I couldn’t stop ogling over Terrain’s wonderful atmosphere and when hanging out with Lauren from Trousseau Style, she mentioned one of her friends’ bridal shower was coming up AT Terrain!! After speaking with Katie (the bride!), it was all set! I was going to photograph the beginning of her bridal shower :D

a little about the couple

Katie and Brian met at summer camp in high school and kept in touch for three years (and many different screen names!) before starting to date in college. They’ve been together ever since! Brian proposed on Thanksgiving weekend next to the fire in her parents’ cabin.

Katie’s garden bridal shower was everything I could have hoped for at Terrain (and it wasn’t even mine!). It was the perfect mix of rustic and earthy. From the wood floors to the string lights behind the food table I loved everything about this garden bridal shower. The tables had the perfect pop of green and the favors were my absolute favorite! Katie’s mom and sister found antique and unique vases, votives, teapots and containers to put succulents in as favors! If anyone knows me, they know I’m absolutely obsessed with succulents have have an entire windowsill full of them, so when I saw these favors I was in LOVE!
