I thought all of the fall colors were gone, but last Friday didn’t disappoint! We met up with Ally & Jake in Harrisburg at their FAVORITE coffee shop, St. Thomas Roasters before heading over to Fort Hunter Mansion & Park.

How They Met

Ally and Jake met at college in the springtime a few years ago. Ally was visiting Jakes Fraternity house and was looking at old composites from the 70s/80s when Jake introduced himself. Before officially dating, they hung out as friends (one of their mutual friends actually blurbed that Jake thought Ally was pretty!). Their first official date ended up with frozen yogurt on valentines day when Jake brought her a bouquet of flowers that he put together himself!

The Proposal

They went on vacation to Florida with friends, including some from Ally’s sorority. Her big was actually proposed to while vacationing in the same spot so Jake made sure to ask her permission from her and her husband if he could propose to Ally there as well! Their first night there Jake suggested they take a walk on the beach to look for shells. When Ally wasn’t looking, he knelt down and said he found the perfect one!!

Their Fort Hunter Harrisburg Engagement

I arrived to St. Thomas Roasters to find the best atmosphere and wonderfully smelling coffee! Of course Ally & Jake had to enjoy a cup to start their engagement session off right! We hung out at St. Thomas Roasters in Linglestown before heading over to Fort Hunter Mansion and Park to find the most beautiful sunset paired with the perfect fall colors. I had never been to Fort Hunter, and the mansion was everything I could have wanted! Not to mention the fact that they have a gorgeous (and massive!) barn. Everything about this fall engagement at Fort Hunter in Harrisburg was just wonderful! :)
